What a FAIL! The British Evacuate Boston! (By: Sabrina Archer)

On March 4, 1776 the British made an epic fail by evacuating Boston. The British actually obeyed Patriot General George Washington's order to leave Boston. The British were terrified because George Washington secretly led a force of 800 soldiers and 1,200 workers to Dorchester Heights and began fortifying the area. British General Sir William Howe hoped to use British ships in Boston Harbor to destroy the Patriot position, but a storm set in, giving the Patriots more time to complete the fortifications and set up their artillery.On March 17, 11,000 British troops and some 1,000 Royalists departed Boston by ship and sailed to the safety of Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Night of March 4, 1776: Dorchester Heights
800 American soldiers stood guard along the river of Dorchester shores. They began working through the night to build structures suitable to defend against the British Army. A large portion of the artillery was moved and installed at Dorchester Heights, a point of strategic importance due to its elevation and commanding view of all of Boston and Boston Harbor.
In response, General William Howe planned on mounting a counter-offensive against the fortified positions on the Heights, but bad weather forced him to rethink his plan. In the end he fell back from the city. The Royal Navy evacuated British Army troops stationed there, as well as many Loyalists.

Come Out You Old Rat!!! (by Jesse Loeb)

May 10, 1775: Fort Ticonderoga
48 British soldiers occupy Fort Ticonderoga in upstate New York.
A small force of Green Mountain Boys come to INVADE the establishment.
Allen says, "COME OUT YOU OLD RAT!!!" to the fort's commander, Captain William Delaplace.
He then demanded that the British commander surrender the fort "In the name of the Great Jehovah and the Continental Congress!"
Lieutenant Jocelyn Feltham surrender's the fort.
Later, the fort's commander appears and surrenders his sword. With the capture of the fort, the Patriot forces obtained a large supply of cannons and other armaments.

Battle of Concord

  
British soldiers who fought in the Battles of Lexington and  Concord  like Francis Smith, made an epic fail!  They were beat by the untrained  Minutemen at Concord. Even though the Brits won Lexington they should  have finished what they started. What also could have been an Epic fail on the Brits side was the first shot that sparked the battles. The EPIC FAIL at Bunker Hill

When the British decided to take over Bunker and Breeds Hill they EPICLY FAILED at keeping it a secret, so William Prescott and his army rushed over and took it before they could. When the British found out about it they decided to attack. The only thing they weren't smart enough to think about was the fact that they would be fighting up hill. They also went up in packs instead of just ambushing them all at once, which probably would have worked better.

If the colonist hadn't of had to retreat because of ammo shortage the British would have most likely been THROWN TO THE GROUND.

Battle of Bennington THROWN TO THE GROUND

On June 1777  British General John Burgoyne began to attempt to divide the rebels in the United States by moving south from the British province of Québec to take over the Hudson River. His efforts were slowed though because of logistic and supply problems.

On August 16 his attempt to exterminate these difficulties was THROWN TO THE GROUND when nearly 1,000 men were killed or captured, and most of his Native American support disowned him and refused to give him supplies. This EPIC FAIL became known as the Battle of Bennington.

 Battle of Trenton

The Hessians had an Epic fail on the morning of  December 25 1776 the morning General George Washington and his troops surprise attacked The unprepared Hessian soldiers and took control of Trenton.What makes this an Epic fail is that if Johann Rall the leader of the Hessian soldiers got a message that said that patriots were coming to attack to bad he did not read it in time.  By Hillel Rodarte
